If your item is faulty or doesn't meet your expectations, you can make a warranty claim within the warranty period, which is generally 12 months for most items. Please email us at hello@housejourney.com.au with your order details and a brief description of the issue. We’ll work with you to resolve the matter promptly.
🚚 Return Postage Policy:
- Customer Responsibility: The cost of returning an item is generally borne by the customer. We will provide a return label for your convenience, but the cost of this label will be deducted from any refund amount (if applicable).
- Shipping Costs to the Customer: Initial shipping costs when we sent the item to you are not covered or refundable.
- Faulty or Defective Items: If an item is returned under the "faulty" or "defective" category and, upon inspection, it is found to be free of faults or defects, you can choose to have the item shipped back to you at your own cost. If you opt for a refund, it will be calculated minus the return shipping label cost. Please note that refunds for faulty items generally do not include the initial shipping cost.

Collectables (Bone China Goods): Our collectables, including bone china goods, are typically not new. They are sold in an "as is" condition, with the exact condition of each item clearly described on the product page. We ensure these items are carefully checked before dispatch. Returns of bone china collectables are only accepted if the item significantly deviates from the description provided in the product listing. If the item matches the description, it is not eligible for return.

Salt Lamp Cords: Our salt lamp cords are designed to be used specifically with bulbs purchased from House Journey. We cannot guarantee the performance or safety of bulbs from other retailers. To protect the cord from moisture, it must be fitted with a bulb plug. Given their consumable nature, cords are covered for 3 months. Due to regular exposure to heat and moisture, cords may wear over time, which is why we limit the warranty period.

Salt Lamp Bulbs: Our halogen bulbs are selected for their effectiveness in heating salt lamps, enhancing their therapeutic benefits. However, halogen bulbs can be prone to blowing due to factors such as power surges, environmental conditions, and the natural properties of halogen bulbs. Therefore, bulbs are not covered under warranty. Only 12V 12W E14 bulbs should be used with our cords. Bulbs from external retailers may have the correct voltage but might not be compatible with our cords, potentially leading to issues. We strongly recommend purchasing bulbs from House Journey to ensure compatibility and safety.
⚠️ Chargeback Policy
At House Journey, we strive to handle all transactions fairly and transparently. However, in the event that a customer files a chargeback after already receiving a refund (or while in the process of receiving a refund), or files a chargeback after receiving the item without first attempting to resolve the issue with us, or files a chargeback after an assessment by our team that a refund or return is not appropriate, House Journey reserves the right to take further action.
⚠️ Chargeback Consequences: If a chargeback is filed under these circumstances, House Journey reserves the right to refer the chargeback amount to approved Debt Collection agencies for recovery.
